St. Patrick’s Day Mocktails

St. Patty’s Day is right around the corner (March 17), and we wanted to help you get through it! We know sobriety can be so hard during this alcohol-related holiday, but with our help, you’ll make it through sober and happy.

You DO NOT have to drink alcohol to have a good time on St. Patrick’s Day. Sure, you’ll see others drinking their green beer, but who needs that? WE do not.

This doesn’t mean you have to go into hiding, either. You can get through this holiday drinking and having fun with these non-alcoholic Irish cocktails, aka our St. Patrick’s Day mocktails!

We have the best mocktails for St. Patty’s Day that will make even the hardest of drinkers want to take a sip and even leave their alcohol behind.  So, without much further ado, let’s get started with these nine St. Patrick’s Day mocktails!

1Irish Frost

Enjoy the energy from a little Irish frost. All you need are these ingredients:

  • Iced Coffee
  • Coconut creamer
  • Half and half
  • Green food coloring

This one is great for coffee lovers. Combine coconut cream and half and half with iced coffee. To give it the green look, put in a few drops of green food coloring.

2Shamrock Sham-Rita!

You can make this Virgin Shamrock Margarita with just three ingredients.

  • Limeade
  • Lime Juice
  • Lemon Juice
  • Grapefruit Juice
  • Sweet & Sour Mix
  • Agave
  • Green Food Coloring

Blend equal parts limeade, lime juice, lemon juice, grapefruit juice, and sweet & sour mix with a small amount of agave (or more to taste) and a few drops of green food coloring.  Pour into salt-rimmed martini glasses and enjoy!

3Green Envy Shot

When you want a lucky shot to make everyone jealous, this is what you get:

  • 3/4 of a shot glass of pineapple juice
  • Green food coloring
  • Dash of creamer
  • Sprig of mint

Yes! You can still take shots. This one is a pretty green color. Just mix green food coloring, a dash of coffee creamer, and pineapple juice. Shake it with ice and strain into your shot glass. Garnish with mint.


We love this one so much!  This classic Cognac cocktail virgin style is so awesome you won’t miss the alcohol.  You’ll think a leprechaun played a con on you, it’s so good!

All you need is:

  • 2 slices of ginger
  • 2 slices of lime
  • 1 cup of lemonade
  • Slivers of cucumbers

All you need is some ginger, lime, lemonade and cucumber. Start with the lime and ginger (1 slice of lime and 4 slices of ginger), pour lemonade to the top of the glass, and then through in a few peels of cucumber for the green.

5Green Fizz

Get your fizz on with:

  • 1/2 tsp of powdered sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 cup of carbonated water
  • Green Food Coloring

This one will make you pucker. Mix together 1/2 tsp of powdered sugar, 1 egg white, juice of a half of a lemon, green food coloring, and carbonated water. Just thinking about this one will make your mouth and eyes water.

6Irish Coffee

Make sure you have:

  • 1 cup of coffee
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • Creamer to taste
  • Whipped Cream
  • Green Sprinkles

Who says you need the whiskey for Irish coffee? Just put brown sugar and creamer in your coffee for an Irish twist. Top with whipped cream and green sprinkles for some good luck!

7Fuzzy Leprechaun

This one is LUCKY to be alcohol-free!

All you need is:

  • Orange juice
  • Pineapple juice
  • Peach Juice
  • Green food coloring
  • Orange or cherry to garnish

Find some peach juice in your local grocery store. Pick up some orange juice, pineapple juice, and green food coloring while you’re at it. Combine the peach juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, and green food coloring in a shaker with ice. Shake it up, pour it in a glass and garnish with an orange or cherry.

8Irish Buck

Throw back a virgin Irish Buck with these ingredients:

  • 3 oz of ginger ale
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • A lime wedge

This one is great for people who love ginger ale. Combine 3 oz of ginger ale, 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice, and throw a lime wedge in it.

9Green Bloody Mary

It’s not your traditional Bloody Mary – it’s better, luckier, and sober-friendly!

You need:

  • 2 green tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoons of red wine vinegar
  • Pinch of parsley
  • Cucumber chinks
  • Slices of lime
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp of horseradish
  • 1 jalapeno
  • Ice
  • Pinch of salt

This one is a doozy to make, but it’s well worth the ingredients and time for this amazing virgin Bloody Mary. You need green tomatoes, red wine vinegar, parsley, cucumber chunks, limes, Worcestershire sauce, a jalapeno, horseradish, and ice. Combine the green tomatoes, vinegar, parley, cucumber, lime juice, Worcestershire and jalapeno first. Throw it into a blender and puree it. Stir in the horseradish and add salt to taste.

You can garnish this with a strip of bacon, cherry tomatoes, lemon wedges, or even Romaine lettuce leaf hearts. It looks amazing!

How to Make Your Own St. Patrick’s Day Mocktails

You can make your own mocktails. All you have to do is take regular cocktails and leave out the alcohol. Sometimes, you can find replacements for the alcohol. For example, if it calls for Bailey’s, try adding a shot of espresso instead.

Creativity is key when you’re looking for alternatives to booze. Don’t get discouraged about it. Rise above and put the fun into drinking sober!
